Relocation Cyprus - update

A few days have gone by now since starting the house, dog & cat sitting in our friends villa in Cyprus.....all are still alive- including us.  Nearly drowned a cat on day 2 - well the dog did, more like a suicide leap of death into the hot tub - yes the lid was off and poor Stella was looking for refuge from the paws of Becks!  All dry and happy now - well she comes home for her breakfast and dinner, not much in between!
Decided it would be a great idea to meet up with family out here on holiday over in Pernera.  So we would 'cycle' - only 19km one way (a bit longer to get there as negotiating Ayia Napa almost added Cape Greko on!) Nothing for us who are used to cycling 3 miles and 1mile each to work every daay!
When we got there we managed 2hrs of collapsing on a sunbed (that got charged for as too tired to keep an eye open for the patrolling sun bed police!)  so as well as 5 Euros for 2 sunbeds the cost was very dear to our rears!
The swimming pool now has a mind of it's own - the pumps and lights were on some sort of timing system - since vacumming it the other day it has been noted that the light is on in the daylight and who knows what time the pump will come on - we wait in anticipation!............ the owners come back tonight so a normal service will resume from tomorrow (as long as there is a beer left in the fridge!)  Thanks for a great week x
