The Nicosia Municipality established a series of walks in 1987 aimed at visitors to Cyprus interested in acquanting themselves with the present day and historical Nicosia.

Free guided bus and walking tour from the CTO Information Office in Laiki Geitonia, Nicosia. 

An old, wooden bus is used during the walk.
 

First of all, the visitors are transferred to a very quiet region of Nicosia within the walls of the city and then on to Kaimaki which is a village within the municipal area of Nicosia.
 
The tour of Kaimaki, shows urban architecture still preserved from the 19^th century to the 20^th century.

 
The concept of the tour is to show how the Municipality is helping to assist in the preservation and maintenance of the old buildings within the area.

 
The walks are offered by the Nicosia Municipality free of charge with the escort of qualified tourist guides.
