A Guide 2 Cyprus ID Card

Description:

This guide is aimed at EU citizens born outsied of Cyprus but now living here.
 
Before obtaining a Cyprus identification card, it is necessary to register as an 'Alien' which can be done in your local immigration office.
 

Obtain an application form which is available at Cyprus district offices.
 
Once completed, you need to take the following items and the form to the Identity card office.
 

• Passport
• Birth Certificate
• Alien Registration Certificate
• Temporary Residents Permit
• Passport photo if possible
• Payment (currently €6.84 but subject to change)

 
Be sure to take photocopies of all the documents and the application form.
 
You may have to wait a few days for the card to be produced, ensure you get a receipt when you pay so that this receipt can be handed over in order to receive the card.
