The Cyprus Archaeological museum in Nicosia is located in the Old City and holds a collection of artefacts from all over the island. The museum consists of 14 galleries and traces the history of Cyprus through all the ages.Included in the displays are pottery, statues, coins and many other artefacts from when the Roman Empire inhabited Cyprus to the Byzantine period. Some of the exhibits are 8,500 years old.
There is a comprehensive track through the Roman heritage of 'Cuprum' meaning copper in latin, now known as Cyprus.
The museum is located at 1 Mouseiou Street, Old City, Nicosia.

Monday to Saturday: 09:00 17:00
Sunday: 10:00 - 13:00
