Description:
The museum in Larnaca exhibits a collection of ancient, medieval, Byzantine and contemporary artefacts belonging to the Pierides family.
The museum is located in the ancestral Pierides family home, which was built in 1815 and is one of the oldest private museums in Cyprus.
It contains some very important pieces of Cyprus history, such as a collection of old maps and charts of Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean. It also holds a prized collection of Greek and Roman glassware unique to the island and of extreme importance to the ruling classes.
There is a display case of modern Greek and Cypriot sculptures which can be seen in the courtyard.
The museum is linked with the Aphrodite Cultural Route.

Monday - Thursday: 09:00 - 16:00
Friday - Saturday: 09:00 - 13:00
Entrance price is €1.71
The museum is located at Zinonos Kitieos 4, Larnaca and open all year round.
