The Sanctuary of Aphrodite is located in Kouklia village in the Paphos district, 14 kilometres east of Paphos just off the Limassol - Paphos road and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Paliapaphos, meaning Old Paphos was one of the most celebrated pilgrimage centres of the ancient Greek world. It was once a city-kingdom of Cyprus. The sanctuary of Aphrodite stands here and is the most ancient remains dating back to the 12th Century B.C.
There is a museum housed in the Lusignan Manor which has many interesting finds from the area.
Opening all year round at the following times:
Monday - Wednesday & Friday - Sunday: 09:00 - 16:00
Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
