Mazotos is in the Larnaca district located 20 kilometres southwest of Larnaca on the coast of Cyprus.
The village of Mazotos has an average annual rainfall of about 360 millimeters and vines (for wine and table use), citrus fruits, olives, carobs, cereals, the shepherd plants, vegetables (artichokes, tomatoes, cucambers, watermelons, pumpkins and okras), 'chrysomilies' and fig trees are cultivated.
Mazotos is included in the irrigatory work of the Southern Irrigation System, by which it has profited during its second phase..
There is a very good transportation network connecting Mazotos to both Limassol and Larnaca.
The last few years has seen development to Mazotos in both commerce and tourism. New homes have been built and purchased particularly from people coming from the city of Nicosia.
Some residences of the community are British who have relocated from the UK and decided to live permanently in Mazotos.
During the period of Constantine the Great, Mazotos was an administrative capital of homonym province, as was the villages of Avdimou, Chrysohous, Koilani, Episkopi, Nemesos and others. It was also known for its agriculture and its products.
