The Meletion Historical Museum is situated in the Sotira area of Famagusta in Cyprus and offers a wealth of cultural and historical information.The museum was opened in January 2008, lodged in an old Cypriot house first built in 1835 and takes its name from the family 'Meleti'.
The Meletion Historical Museum exhibits coins, philatelic (stamps dating back from 1879) apiculture, flowers and fauna of Cyprus.
The museum has four rooms with different exhibition types within and a souvenir shop.
For light refreshments, there is a coffee shop within the grounds.
Opening Hours:
Summer (1st June - 30th September)
Monday - Saturday - 10:00 - 13:00 and 16:00 - 20:00
Winter (1st October - 31st May)
Monday - Saturday - 10:00 - 18:00
