Pervolia - Cyprus

Description:

Pervolia is a picturesque, quaint Cypriot village situated on the south eastern coast of Cyprus, approximately 15 kilometres from Larnaca town centre. 
 
The industry is mainly agriculture but in the village you will find shops, banks and traditional eateries. There are some beautiful restaurants and tavernas serving fresh food - the aromas are irresistable.

Because of its cobbled village square and interesting architecture, it has become a popular location for new housing for permanent residents and those purchasing a holiday home. This has resulted in an increase in tourism within the village.
 
The quiet beach with its crystal blue sea at Pervolia is about 1 kilometre away from the village. The beach is not overcrowded during the peak summer months and families can relax and take in the fresh sea air.

There is a regular bus route to the major towns and Kiti, which is the nearest village to Pervolia, is about a 45 minute walk along the coastal path.

St. Irini and St.Leontis churches in the village.

Events:
5th May - Saint Irini Festival held at the St. Irini church in the village centre.
 
18th June -  Saint Leontis Festival held at the St. Leontis small burial church in the village.

Both festivals are celebrated with traditional singing and dancing, and market stalls selling local produce.
