Description:

Episkopi is situated on the foothill of the ancient Kurion, between Limassol and Paphos, and overlooks the bay of Kourion.

Its main source of economy is agricultural, however, in recent years, tourism has increased due to Episkopi's archaeological sites. 
 
Many expatriates have set up home in Episkopi as it ideally located for commuting to Limassol. Near to the village are the British military bases of Episkopi Garrison and Akrotiri which has also provided local work opportunities.
 
Whilst being a modern village with, amongst others, banks, restaurants, tavernas, bars, educational institutions, supermarkets and a hotel, it also holds great historical interest. The Kourion ruins on the outskirts of Episkopi features extensive ruins, mosaics, ancient public baths and the Greco-Roman Amphitheatre.
 
Climate:
Episkopi has an average annual rainfall of 460 mm. It is situated on the foothill of the ancient Kourion at a height of 60 metres close to west bank of the river Kouris. The area is very fertile for the agriculture of vegetables, vines, citrus plants and cereals.

Kourion Ruins and Amphitheatre on the outskirts of Episkopi features beautifully restored architecture of the Greco-Roman Amphitheatre and well-preserved mosaics.
 
Sanctuary of Apollo - located west of the ancient Kourion, the Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates is open for visitors to see one of the principal religious places in Cyprus.
