Strovolos - Cyprus

Established in 1986, Strovolos is the second biggest municipality in Cyprus and the biggest in Nicosia. It is approximately 25 km² and has parks and recreation areas, amphitheatres, lakes and the Municipal Sports Centre.
 

After the tragic events of 1974, many refugees settled in the city of Strovolos. Since this time, it has become an industrial centre for services and products. Strovolos has also become a popular area for property development because of the industry within it.

 
Culturally, it has a municipal library and geographical museum, hall of music and theatre together with other places of cultural interest.

To Visit:
The Nicosia Mall - located just off the Nicosia highway, the mall offers shops, restaurants and cafes. Next to it is the famous Ikea superstore.
