Episkopeio is a village approximately 15 kilometres southwest of the capital city Nicosia. It sits in the area known as Tamassos, which also encompasses the villages of Pera and Politiko.

The Tombs of the Kings
 

Ayios Herakleidios Monastery - Hereakleidios guided Saints Paul and Barnabas to Tamassos. They later ordained him as Bishop of Tamassos. He was martyred at the age of 60 and buried in the cave where he had lived and preached.
