Agros village is located at the heart of the Pitsilia region in the Troodos Mountain Range of Cyprus. Situated in a beautiful valley, Agros enjoys a dry climate with cool springs.
Agros is a 45 minute drive to both Nicosia and Limassol and about 80 minutes from Paphos and Larnaca airports.
The village was given its name by forty monks who travelled there from Asia Minor and named it after the place they had left.
Agros in well known for its local products such as grapes, fruits, cold meat cuts (lountza, sausages), traditional sweets and marmalades.
The Agros rose bush owes its existence to the late Nearchos Klirides who, in 1917, founded the 'Pupils Association for the Dissemination of the Rose bush' in order to cultivate the rose bushes to produce rosewater.
Schools, tavernas, restaurants, banks, shops, police station, post office, and health centre can all be found in the centre of the village.
Hotels, tourist apartments and other tourist facilities have been provided to cater for the increase in tourism in the area.
Agros is famous throughout the island for its supply of bottled spring water.

The Museum of Folklore Art and The Museum of Frangoulidis - located in a restored building displaying traditional local arts and crafts in addition to the old olive mill.
The Traditional fountain of 'Kaouras' - built in the early 20th Century - the water flows all year round.
Anastasia Park and numerous Nature Trails - with flora and the scents of beautiful flowers.
The Church of Panayia Eleousa - Built on the ruins of the Agros Monastery, the Byzantine architecture is fascinating.
