Kapparis is on the South East coast of Cyprus located close to the Northern Cyprus border and belongs to the municipality of Paralimni.
 
Ten years ago, Kapparis had a handful of bars and tavernas. Nowadays, it is a bustling area full of restaurants, bars, hotels, supermarkets, shops and tavernas. Kapparis has seen a massive increase in residential property development which accounts for the many British expatriates now living there. Because of this, most of the restaurants, bars and shops are now open all year round.
 
The beaches in Kapparis are unspoilt and visited by tourists and locals. From 'Fireman's Beach' - named due to the Fire Service Training Centre being there - the ghost town of Famagusta can be seen in the distance with its derelict hotels and empty beaches.
