Dreambox Subscriber List Includes Cyprus Politicians

Police raided an address in Ayios Athanasios, Limassol last week to find an illegal 'Dreambox distribution network', including 20 servers and 30 Dreambox decoders.
 

Details of about 4,500 subscribers to the service have also been found, and is said to include Cyprus politicians, businesses and senior government officials in the list.
 

Two men have been remanded in custody since Thursday for allegedly distributing satellite television signals illegally to subscribers over the internet.

 
The 'scam' could have earned hundreds of thousands of Euros so far.

 
Many customers of the illegal distribution are also worried as Cyprus Police announced their determination to prosecute customers as well as the providers.
