Cyprus Tourist Organisation to Allocate €10 Million for Local Hotel Vouchers

In a bid to boost domestic tourism the CTO Director General Phoebe Katsouri announced that the organisation will be handing out hotel vouchers to qualifying citizens with a value of €45 per person and €23 per child or dependant for an overnight stay in a hotel.
 

Full details of the plan and who will qualify will be announced by the Government by the 1^st May 2009.
 

The CTO is also extending its "Cyprus Short Escapes - Great Discoveries" programme until June as it was very successful over the winter when demand occasionally exceeded supply.
 

This programme offers low-cost weekend breaks from Saturday noon until Sunday afternoon.
 

Prices start from €50 per person in a 3 star hotel and include dinner at the hotel with entertainment, breakfast and  Sunday lunch at a choice of restaurants participating in the programme.
 

The CTO are also providing a complementary guided tour from the relevant local list covering a range of themes, such as: nature walks, wine routes, churches.
