Cyprus Eurovision Hopes Knocked Out

Limassol born, Christina Metaxa, was last night knocked out of the semi finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009.
 

Cyprus failed to reach the final on Saturday night after being beaten by stiff competition. Christine Metaxa gave an excellent performance of 'Firefly' and will be very disappointed by the result.

 
Greek singer Sakis Rouvas qualified and is tipped to be a possible winner with his song 'This is our night'.

 
The 25 finalists will compete on Saturday evening, Graham Norton will be replacing Terry Wogan as the UK presenter.
