Feature - My Mall in Limassol, Cyprus

Now that the new shopping centre, My Mall, has been opened for a over a month, we thought it would be a good idea to do a feature on it.

My Mall is located near the new Limassol port in the Zakaki area in Cyprus. The car park is manned by security personnel who will guide you to available spaces within the car park.

The building itself is quite grand and modern with the company logo (changed from Tiffany Mall to My Mall) displayed on the flags surrounding the grounds.

The first thing you notice when you get to My Mall in Limassol is the fresh aroma of coffee coming from the cafe outside. The second thing that hits you is the cool, refreshing feel of the climate control when you enter the Mall.

Inside the Mall is bright and airy and has two large glass lifts to take you to the floor above or the floor below. There are also escalators throughout the Mall.

Not all the shops were ready and open when we visited; some still had the boards covering units with various business 'Coming Soon' signs.

The shops that are open are big name stores including Marks and Spencers, Monsoon, Accessorize, Mango and expensive looking boutique style shops.

The top floor holds the Oasis Food Hall which at present has TGI Fridays restaurant, Sigma Bakeries and a selection of fast food takeaways including Bamboo, Burger King, Almyro Glyko, Panta's Chicken, Haagen Dazs and Gyros with others 'coming soon'.

There is a special sealed off glass smoking area within the Food Hall and plenty of bright, spacious, colourful seating in the middle of the Hall.

We chose to have a snack from the Gyros counter, 2 Greek pitas with gyros chicken and a couple of soft drinks will set you back around €10 - thoroughly enjoyable.

The basement holds the ice rink which wasn't as big as we expected but for someone wanting to have a first time attempt or refresh their skating feet, it would probably be fine.

Non EU visitors can take advantage of Tax Free shopping within the Mall when spending over €50 - a Eurorefund form needs to be completed and conditions apply.

Definitely worth a visit, even if it is to escape the unbearable heat and browse the shops within the ultra cool temperatures.
