Cyprus Road Accidents 10% Down

According to Chief of Police, Iacovos Papacostas, road accidents have decreased this year by 8-10% compared to 2007. 
 
This figure is still too high compared to other member states. The aim of the police is to bring this figure down to 20%.
 
Upgrading the level of road conditions, safety level of vehicles, medical response to traffic accidents, and educating the general public of the dangers of driving are all part of the plan to enhance driving safety.
