Paphos to Hold 2011 Atlantic World Bowls Championship

Description:

The World Bowls Association will hold the 2011 Atlantic World Bowls Championship in Paphos, making the Cyprus coastal town one of the top European bowling destinations.
 

Paphos held the 7th European Bowling Championships earlier this year and Union officials were very impressed with the venue and facilities.
 

The Athena Beach Hotel in Paphos has had an extensive upgrade to make it an attractive bowling destination.
 

Bowls Cyprus and Constantinou Brothers Hotels have also been invited to submit a bid for the World Champion of Champions Tournament in 2012. The tournament involves competing with the best player from each participating country.
 

Bowls Cyprus are also waiting for the green light from the Commonwealth Games and Olympic Commission in Nicosia to compete in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India.
