A new road safety campaign has been launched by the police in Cyprus.
The campaign aims to tackle traffic offences and will focus on ownership transfer, parking, vehicle modifications, registration plates and motorway use.
For instance, registration plates must be a particular size and colour. Foreign plates are not allowed unless they belong to travelling tourists who are temporarily visiting the island.
Transfer of car ownership must be made within 30 days of the transaction.
The campaign will run up to Sunday 18th October and police will issue warnings for violations during this time. Drivers will be booked if they fail to comply by the 18th October.
