Daytime Random Breath Tests for Cyprus Drivers

In the lead up to Christmas, Cyprus traffic police are to carry out alcohol tests on drivers during the daytime.
 

It comes as part of a campaign to help combat fatal accidents on the Cyprus roads as driving under the influence of alcohol is considered to be high on the list of causes for traffic fatalities across Europe.
 

With Christmas now less than a month away, there will be an increase in office parties, lunches and social events. It is hoped that the daytime checks will deter drivers from having alcohol during these activities.
