Cyprus Doctors Call For Strike Action

Description:

Junior doctors in Cyprus have called for a 24 hour strike  which will affect 144 doctors working in public sector hospitals.
 

The doctors are protesting over a number of issues including a lack of pay when on call.
 

If the strike goes ahead on 1st December then accident and emergency departments, outpatient clinics and surgery departments will face severe disruption.
  

Anyone requiring treatment is advised to check before travelling.
