Cyprus experienced torrential rain yesterday as roads in Larnaca were flooded and many drivers were trapped in their cars.
 

The rain poured down heavily in the Famagusta and Larnaca areas of Cyprus from the early morning to late evening.

 
Both of the areas fire services were kept busy providing help to stranded drivers.

 
The road connecting Protaras to Cape Greco was closed by the Paralimni Police as floods of water rushed down from the hills.

 
Weather reports expect the rain to continue over the next couple of days.
