New Flights Glasgow To Cyprus from April 2010

26 January 2010

Description:

Kiss Flights is launching new services to Cyprus in April from Glasgow Airport, replacing routes of Flyglobespan which went into liquidation in December 2009.

Kiss Flights is a seat only tour company already operating from eight UK airports outside Scotland and will be offering 12 summer routes to Mediterranean destinations including Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Cyprus.

The Director of Kiss Flights, Paul Smith said “Kiss Flights are enjoying a period of strong growth and we are delighted to be able to offer these flights from Glasgow. Since the demise of Flyglobespan we have had unprecedented requests from the travel trade to offer increased capacity from Scotland.”

A spokesman said flights will be operated on behalf of Kiss Flights by Swedish carrier Viking Airlines, using Boeing 737 aircraft.

Flyglobespan was grounded on December 16th 2009 when its Edinburgh-based parent company, Globespan, was put into administration, leaving an estimated 3,400 holidaymakers stranded in Spain, Portugal, Cyprus and Egypt.
