Greek Air-Traffic Controllers on Strike Today

11 March 2010

Description:

A 24 hour strike by Greek air traffic controllers today has resulted in 25 flights in and out of Cyprus and 1,600 passengers being affected.

PR Director of Hermes Airports Adamos Aspris told reporters that the affected flights involved 13 departures and 12 arrivals, of which 23 would have been through Larnaca International Airport.

He said all the flights involved trips to and from Athens and Thessalonica and advised anyone schedules to travel on any of the flights to contact their travel agents or airline directly.
