Description:

The Ministry of Communications and Works have put out a tender for a technical-economic study for a railway transportation system in Cyprus.

The proposal is to have a railway link from Nicosia to Limassol, Nicosia to Larnaca and Larnaca to Limassol.

The candidate tender company will be expected to have completed an evaluation study by April 2011.

The findings will then be submitted to the ministry which will determine whether constructing a railway network in Cyprus is technically and economically viable.
