President Christofias met with Lisa Buttenheim the new Special Representative of the UN Secretary General yesterday, on her first visit to Cyprus.
 

Buttenheim said "It's my first day in Cyprus. I had an excellent meeting with his Excellency Mr Christofias. I look forward to an ongoing dialogue with him"
 

"I am just taking up my new responsibilities as Special Representative of the Secretary General and also as Deputy to Mr Downer. I am looking forward to my stay in Cyprus", she concluded.
 

Butterheim also met Turkish Cypriot leader Eroglu later yesterday.
 

The two leaders are due to meet this afternoon at the UN controlled Nicosia Airport after the last meeting due to take place on 3^rd June was postponed.
