Description:
Petrol prices are coming down across the Island by around 2 cents per litre for petrol and 1 cent for diesel.
The price reduction is due to oil companies across Cyprus reducing prices due to the improved exchange rate of the euro against the US dollar.
It would still appear that pump prices in Limassol and Paphos are still more expensive than the rest of the Island. At some pumps, there can be up to a 4 cents difference than at other pumps.
Solon Kasinis, Head of the Energy Department in Cyprus would like to see other suppliers entering the oil market – this should then encourage more competitive pricing.
