Description:
A British judge has ruled that the two men convicted in their absence over the killing of a youth in Protaras in 2006 should be extradited to serve their jail sentences in Cyprus.
The two men were originally acquitted but an appeal hearing in Cyprus, which they did not attend, found them guilty of conspiracy to cause manslaughter.
They were sentenced to three years in prison and European Arrest Warrants were later issued to return them to Cyprus.
Michael Binnington and Luke Atkinson were passengers in a car, driven by Julian Harrinton in Protaras in August 2006, when it rammed a moped killing its pillion passenger Christos Papiris and seriously injuring its rider.
Harrington is serving a 15-year jail sentence after admitting manslaughter and causing grievous bodily harm.
A district judge at City of Westminster Magistrate's Court in London made the ruling.
The pair have seven days to appeal.
