Paphos High Rise Buildings Issue

Description:

Cyprus residents in Paphos have, in principal, given their approval to high-rise buildings in the area during a public forum held in Geroskipou and Paphos municipalities.
 

The idea is to create more green areas and generally more space in Paphos by building multi storey developments.

 
However, there is concern that the buildings should not be built in historic locations and near the sea. Restricting them to certain areas and ensuring that there is a limit to how many floors they can have are criteria being considered.

 
Paphos could see the creation of car parks underground or outside the town. Paphos could even be pedestrianised as seen in other European towns and cities.
