Description:
Cyprus has been invited to participate in this year's 'Vote Earth Day' which takes place tonight.
'Vote Earth Day' enables people from all around the globe to use their light switch as their vote against global warming.
The concept is that at 8.30pm until 9.30pm local time in each country tonight, citizens are able to cast their vote against global warming by turning off their lights.
The official site for Earth Hour gives 10 different ways to spend the hour to reduce your carbon footprint. It suggests things like enjoying a candlelit dinner, taking the dog for a night walk, have a candlelit bath, and stargazing in the local park.
To find out more about Earth Hour, visit the official website www.earthhour.org, sign up and join millions of people in more than 1,400 cities and towns in 80 countries throughout the world by turning off your lights for one hour at 8:30pm tonight in Cyprus.
